This morning, the Project Coordinator, Mrs. Bolanle Fadairo, took another bold step in strengthening community engagement for the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU) as she led the team on a strategic outreach visit to the palace of the Onigboko of Orile-Igboko Igbesa. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to deepen awareness, mobilize stakeholder support, and expand access to life-changing opportunities for women across Ogun State.
Mrs. Fadairo reaffirmed the vision of the project to building stronger women’s groups, expanding financial literacy, and improving market opportunities. She emphasized that sustainable empowerment begins with strong community partnerships, and NFWP-SU will continue to work closely with traditional institutions, market leaders, and grassroots structures to deliver long-term impact.
The Project Coordinator expressed appreciation to the Onigboko of Orile-Igboko Igbesa, Oba Itu Yusuf Olasukanmi, and the Olodan of Oda, Odan-Abuja, Oba Nosiru Teslimi Ayinla, who applauded the initiative and assured full support of their stools and domains. The monarchs commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for prioritizing women-focused development and pledged to mobilize community leaders, market heads, and youth structures to ensure the programme’s success. They affirmed that NFWP-SU remains a powerful pathway to financial liberation for women.
Following the palace engagement, the team proceeded to the Lusada International Market, where traders warmly welcomed the awareness campaign. Many expressed excitement and readiness to participate in the programme, noting that the intervention offers them a unique opportunity to strengthen their businesses, improve financial discipline, and gain better access to market linkages.
