Ijebu igbo
No fewer than three persons were feared dead on Sunday while Many were injured following a clash between occultist group and the Odua People’s Congress members.
The heavy fighting broke out on Sunday evening during the Mega rally organised to support a senator representing Ogun East senatorial district in Ijebu Igbo of Ijebu North in Ogun state.
Amebo gathered that the three persons that feared dead on Sunday were two unknown occultist member and one OPC members, Sixteen saheed who was gunned in the chest.
A lot of millions of property were destroyed and many people were injured during this unholy act which left many insecure in the community.
Despite the heavy security deployed to the Local Government yesterday,Sunday 8th of April 2018 the unrest takes another face today being Monday 9th of April 2017 as two policemen were shots at and one already gave ghost with the other rushed to clinic.
The people of the community has been living with fear with all shops closed and no motorist on the highways .
A lot of people have been putting the blame on Senator Buruji Kashamu who many believed brought disaster to the community via his rally especially when INEC has not lifted the ban on rallies. This according to the community pave way for the occultists group to carry ammunition freely and flooded the community with blood of the people of his constituency.
The DPO confirmed that his officers were shot at and one already gave ghost with others in a dangerous condition.
As at press time, it has been reported that the other police officer has also gave up the ghost.
