What has the beginning must have an end but not in the case of Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the State.
The care of covid-19 positive patients in Ogun State has taken a different turn with the recent closure of the major isolation centre located at ikenne the home town of the incumbent vice president of Nigeria. The centre was said to have been used to manage over 200 covid 19 cases which contributed the majority of cases managed and discharged so far in the state with no report of death . This is however a worrisome development at this point when the number of new cases is seen to be on the increase in the state . Recent online report also revealed that the number one driver to the state commissioner of Health Dr Tomi Coker has tested positive to Covid 19. There is a palpable fear among the people of the state following these recent developments. When our correspondent paid a visit to the centre only two private security officers were met at the gate where they were turned back and told the isolation centre was no longer functioning.
Our efforts to call the authorities of the Ogun State Ministry of Health to know what is really happening profed abortive.
