A death has been announced of a veteran broadcaster in Ogun State named Ọ̀túnba Deji Ọṣìbọgun:
Written by his friend, "On a very very sad note, I regret to announce the death of a veteran broadcaster, a community developer, a patriot and a man that lived his life for the masses, MR WILLY Thomas. He died in Abeokuta in the early hours of today 29th July 2020.
"Willy Thomas was a former staff of OGBC, a representative of very many foreign radio dial and until his death, he ran a community based radio station (Cowrie FM) in Abeokuta."
The late Willy Thomas will be remembered for his community developing skills through the Alajapa market women empowerment scheme, and his roles in the development of Broadcasting especially as one of the pioneer staff of OGBC, Abẹ́òkúta.
He is survived by his wife and children.
