The first sign of humanity and being humane is to care for one another in all aspects of life and all lives matter because we are human beings. This slogan though not easily practicable amongst individuals and people in position of authority but in the gateway state under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Ministry of Health ably supervised by Hon Commissioner Dr Tomi Coker, all hope is not lost for individual lives to be catered for medically and otherwise.
The office of the Hon Commissioner was intimated about a destitute lying helplessly in a refuse site for days around ADIGBE area of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state. The Hon Commissioner in her characteristic manner swang into action by directing the nearest Primary Health Center in the area to attend to her irrespective of her status or condition of health. The health officers met her depressed, emaciated and dehydrated with virtually no strength. She was shown love, care and given a soft drink to resuscitate her back to life. Thereafter, the Hon Commissioner directed that she should be immediately taken with ambulance to a secondary health facility at Ijaye General Hospital Abeokuta where she is presently being given a comprehensive medical attention to revive her back to life.
The Commissioner also promised to engage the service of social workers after her recuperation for the process of reuniting her with her family members. Truly, in words and in action, all lives truly matter in the gateway state.
