ABEOKUTA–The Ogun State Alternate Medicine Practitioners have declared their supports for the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, for creating the Alternate Medicine Board which gives room for the regulation of their activities in the State.
This was expressed in a release by the Press Officer Alternative Medicine Board, Dolapo Jinad which was made this available to the Newsmen in Abeokuta.
The declaration was made by the Practitioners while receiving palliatives given to them by the government, at an event held at the Rural Development complex Oke – Mosan Abeokuta.
Said since the creation of the board, practitioners have witnessed a lot of developments with modern innovation that had been of assistance to aid their practice, adding that they have been clamoring for the creation of the regulatory body before the advent of the present administration.
They unanimously pleaded to the governor to further give the board all the necessary support required to achieve its set goals.
According to the secretary, Alternate Medicine Commonwealth Association of Nigeria, Dr. Fasasi Sulaimon, who is appreciating the governor, he also commended government of the day for doing wonderfully well in the health care sector, most especially for creating an Alternate Medicine Board.
The creation of Ogun Alternate Medicine Board is a welcome development, this was made by Senior Evangelist Alesu Femi from the Celestial wing of Alternate Medicine Practioners.
The National vice chairman, Union Birth Attendants Association, Mrs. Iyabo Sonubi , appreciated the government for creating the board with adequate recognition, noting that, this is the first time in the history of the state that government would recognize them.
The Board Chairman, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye commended the support and the turn out of the practitioners across the State.
