..PAYS STUDENTS’ JAMB FEES

Member,Ogun State House Of Assembly,representing Odeda State Constituency,Hon Segun Elemide ,weekend raised the hopes and aspirations of some indigenes of the local government when he extended his empowerment programme to Osiele ward of the local government, with cash gifts.

The presentation of money to scores of beneficiaries from the ward,was the fifth of such magnanimity by Hon Elemide.

It is on record that no fewer than four wards in the council area,already had their shares of the largesse,which the Lawmaker said,would go round all wards in the local government.

The cash was handed over to the beneficiaries by Hon Elemide who was assisted by the Vice Chairman of the Council ,Musiliu Akindele and the Secretary to the local government,Mr Adeboye at the Lawmaker’s Asero,Abeokuta residence amid pomp and ceremony.

Presenting the cash to the beneficiaries,Hon Elemide explained that his gesture was to appreciate the peoples unflinching support for his political aspirations.

The State House of Assembly member said he decided to engage in the systematic ward to ward empowerment of his people,since the covid 19 pandemic had made his planned appreciation visits to them a mirage.

He thanked them for the overwhelming and encouraging support he enjoyed from them since he was elected as their representative in the House of Assembly.

Elemide assured the people of more Infrastructural and economic development programmes of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in the state .

Hon Elemide while assuring to further expand the grant to all the wards in his Constituency in order to capture more people, tasked the beneficiaries on judicious use of the funds.

He enumerated his achievements to include “sponsoring of people and development-friendly bills, creating wealth.as well as payment of JAMB fees,repair of some boreholes in the Constituency and purchase of empowerment equipments for people.

Others according to Hon Elemide included, creating job opportunities for unemployed youths, attracting State projects and others to the confirmation and thunderous applause of the mammoth crowd.

Hon Elemide who re-affirmed his commitment to continue to serve his people to the best of his ability, vowed to continue to be accommodating and throw his political doors open always to attract more members as he also, assured of better days ahead.

Mrs Adebola Tunrayo who spoke for the beneficiaries thumbed up for Hon Elemide for making them self-reliant entrepreneurs, pledging their unalloyed support for him,anytimes he needs them.

She called on other politicians in the local government to emulate Hon Elemide for the political and economic emancipation of the local government.
