100-150 Units to be ready by December, 2020” – Commissioner for Housing
The Ogun State Government of Prince Dapo Abiodun _mfr_ had commenced the construction of a Housing Estate at Kobape town in Obafemi Owode Local Government.
The proposed more than 300 Housing Units, when completed, according to Mr. Jamiu Omoniyi aka Jagunmolu, the State Commissioner for Housing will not only facelift the town but add succors to the people of the State and solve the problem of housing in the area.
The ever efficient Commissioner thanked the Kobape Community for their understanding and cooperation. He said Kobape was the best town among others that supports and cooperates with the State Government to the fullest. He enjoined the Community to keep it up.
He further informed the town people to use the opportunity to tap from the ongoing work as the State Government is ready to engage the town people in any aspect of the buildings only if they are ready to work.
He then advised the block making industries around the Housing Estate to improve in their productions as the State Government is ready to patronize them for the purpose of the construction of the Housing Estate.
The Commissioner then informed and promised the populace that 100-150 Housing Units will be ready by December, 2020 and they are going to be sold to the people of the State especially people of the area. He advised the people of the State to tap from the gesture by applying for the purchase by obtaining form for the purpose. He directed the civil servants and the general public to obtain the application forms from the office of Head of Service and Conference room, Ministry of Housing respectively and at the token amount of Five Thousand naira (#5,000.00) only.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Housing, Hon Tajudeen Egunjobi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Mr. Tobi Doregos, Architect S.O.S. Oladipupo, a Director in the Ministry of Housing among others.
The Chairman, Transition Committee, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon. Fatai O. Mustapha aka Eruobodo thanked the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun _mfr_ for remembering the people of his Local Government and especially Kobape Community, by building a Housing Estate at Kobape Town. He said it was a promise made and kept.
He advised the people of the State to tap from the gesture. He then promised the State Government to make use of the facilities judiciously.
